Washington: Thousands are expected to march to the White House as part of a sizable rally dubbed "Rage Against The War Machine" in Washington, DC, on Sunday, calling for peace in Ukraine and an end to US military aid to Kiev.

The march, organised by the Libertarian and People's Parties, is anticipated to be the biggest anti-war demonstration in the US since 2003's demonstrations against the Iraq War.

A wide range of political figures, including former US Senator Ron Paul, former presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard, and comedian and political commentator Jimmy Dore, are scheduled to speak at the event.

The organisers have outlined the demands they want to make of "warmonger-in-chief Joe Biden" on their website. The demands include "not one more penny for war in Ukraine," dissolution of NATO, reduction of Pentagon spending, elimination of the CIA, and Julian Assange's release.

One of the speakers scheduled to appear at the rally, Tara Reade, claimed in an interview with FOX News host Tucker Carlson that Americans are tired of seeing their government ignore problems at home while providing almost $100 billion in aid to Ukraine. Our infrastructure is deteriorating. America is degenerating into a failed state, she said.

Additionally, Reade insisted that the US and NATO were to blame for the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which she claimed had its origins in the Maidan uprising in 2014 and was sponsored by the West.

The speakers are all gathered to demand the abolition of NATO because it is an aggressive force that has been encroaching on Russian territory, and we are now on the verge of another world war, according to Reade.
