The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) test was conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, and it has been announced that the GATE 2023 results would be made available at the applicant application portal on March 16, 2023, starting at 4:00 p.m.

Candidates must have the highest GATE score in order to be admitted to the M.Tech programme, which is a postgraduate engineering and research programme offered by the IITs, NITs, and other prestigious universities. Only those students who are enrolled to the programme with a valid GATE score at the time of admission are eligible for the postgraduate scholarship.

If you have a qualifying GATE score, you can apply for admission and/or financial aid to the following programmes: I Master's and direct Doctoral programmes in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, and the Arts; and (ii) Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of Art and Science, at institutions supported by the MoE and other Government agencies. Some universities and institutes also use GATE scores to admit students who do not have MoE scholarships or financial aid. Also, a lot of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have started considering GATE scores in their hiring procedures.

On February 4, 5, 11, and 12, test centres across the nation hosted the exam. The GATE's preliminary answer key was made public on February 21 and the objection period ended on February 25. Results are anticipated to be released alongside the final answer key.

The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur organised the computer-based test (CBT) known as GATE 2023. On behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), and Government of India, the exam was administered by IISc Bangalore and seven IITs (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee) (GoI).
