These days various filmmakers are making movies on different subjects and now the teaser of another good story is grabbing all the limelight Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming directorial India Lockdown was unveiled on Tuesday. It stars Prateik Babbar, Aahana Kumra and Shweta Basu Prasad among others.

The ‘India Lockdown’ movie trailer shows the workers’ crisis, and glimpses of people finding out for the first time how Covid-19 spread through proximity and that people would have to maintain social distance. The four parallel stories are those of a father-daughter pair who are separated at a pivotal time in the daughter's life, a sex worker and the difficulties the lockdown causes her in both her personal and professional life, a migrant worker who barely manages to feed his family, and an air hostess.

 

The trailer begins with the announcement of the first lockdown in India, due to Covid-19 pandemic. Featuring footage from different parts of the nation,. Shweta Basu appears in the role of a sex worker who is seen questioning the seriousness of Covid-19. Prateik plays the role of a migrant worker who is forced to return to his hometown with his family. Aahana Kumra as a pilot is seen resorting to alcohol while being stuck at home. He captioned it and wrote, “The tragedy you know, the untold stories you don't!”

The Indian Lockdown is produced by Dr Jayantilal Gada of PEN Studios, Madhur Bhandarkar’s Bhandarkar Entertainment, and Pranav Jain’s P J Motions Pictures, ‘India Lockdown’ is the first Indian feature film on the COVID pandemic and stars Shweta Basu Prasad, Aahana Kumra, Prateik Babbar, Sai Tamhankar, and Prakash Belawadi in key roles. ‘India Lockdown’ premieres on 2nd December.
