NEW DELHI: Kailash Gahlot, the finance minister for Delhi, unveiled the states Rs. 78,800 crore budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2023–24. This sum is over 2.5 times as much as the Rs. 30,940 crore in expenditures for the 2014–15 fiscal year. Also, the projected budget for 2023–24 is 8.69% larger than the updated projections for the current fiscal year, 2022–23.

1. The finance minister of Delhi  today announced a budgetary commitment of about Rs. 19,400 crores for the National Capital's road renovation over the next ten years.

2. The Aam Aadmi Party allotted a total of Rs. 9,742 crores for health for the year 2023–2024. From Rs. 9,769 crore the previous year, this is a little decline.

3. As many as 350 government schools in Delhi would receive 20 computers apiece as part of the budget for 2023, and all teachers, principals, and vice principals will receive tablets. The AAP government allotted over Rs. 16,500 crores for the education sector in the 2023 budget, an increase of approximately Rs. 200 crores from the previous year.

4. “The National Capital will treat 890 million gallons of sewage a day by March 2024, a massive increase over 373 MGD in 2015," announced finance minister Kailash Gahlot.

5. The Delhi government's budget focuses on a 6-point action plan for a clean Yamuna and the eradication of all three rubbish mountains, according to finance minister Kailash Gahlot, who presented the budget on Wednesday. In two years, he promised, all three garbage heaps will be taken down.

6. Delhi Finane Minster Kailash Gahlot said in the last 4 months,  about 42,000 women visited mohalla clinics meant exclusively for women. The Aam Aadmin Party government has decided to build another 100 similar facilities, as part of the Delhi budget 2023.

7. By March 2024, Delhi will process 890 million gallons of sewage per day, a significant increase from the 373 MGD treated in 2015, according to finance minister Kailash Gahlot.

8. As part of Delhi budget 2023, FM Kailash Gahlot said the new buses to be inducted in Delhi would have factory-fitted GPS, 3 CCTV cameras, and ten panic buttons in a bid to strengthen women's safety 

9. Finance Minister Kailash Gahlot announced during the presentation of the budget that electricity-powered minibusses will operate on Delhi roadways as part of the Delhi government's Mohalla-bus Yojana.

10.The AAP government has proposed spending Rs. 320 crore to build three double-decker overpasses. According to government estimates, these flyovers have been built in a way that will help taxpayers save about Rs. 121 crore.
