Indore – Madhya Pradesh: Three women from different parts of northern India have won the top prizes of the first Gospel Singer Reality Show conducted by a popular Church TV  Atmadarshan channel.

Lynette John, a mother and an English music teacher from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, notched the top position, while S Jyoti from Bhilai, an industrial city of Chhattisgarh, stood second position, and Garima Ekka from the Chhattisgarh capital of Raipur, came third.

The final took place on October 26 in Indore, the state capital of Madhya Pradesh in central India, where the channel Atmadarshan is based. The Atmadarshan TV channel honored the 11 mega finalists and their families.

The channel conducted auditions in April and May, as a part of the selection process.  Atmadarshan Channel team travelled almost 6,000 kilometer to conduct auditions in 15 major cities of 8 northern Indian states. From the initial 250 participants, 50 were selected for the first round which was held from May 23-27 in Atmadarshan. The second round was held August 13-14. The semi finals were on October 23-24.

At the show, certain well-known artists from Christian and other religions who have enriched North Indian Christianity were also honoured. They are Father Jose from Raipur; Benjamin Ninama from Jhabua; Divine Word Father Norbert Hermon from Udaipur; Holy Spirit Sister Pushpanjali, Dilip Bose, and Father Maria Stephan (all from Bhopal); Divine Word Fathers Deepak Suliya, Clarence Srambickal, and Peter Jamra (all from Indore); and Michael Peria (Hyderabad).

Father Stanley Kozhichira, head of Signis Asia, who was the principal guest, praised Atmadarshan for his significant contributions. He also praised the channel's ability to deliver high-quality material.

The participants expressed their gratitude to Atmadarshan TV for planning the occasion for the Church choir members and honouring their commitment on a national scale.

Atmadarshan's founding director, Father Anand Chirayath, expressed his gratitude to all the sponsors and organisers. He said the channel now plans another reality show in 2023.
