In the last few days, many states in the country have made a number of changes. In fact, in view of the increasing plastic waste and keeping in view the environmental safety, eco-friendly bottles of water have been introduced inplace of plastic bottles. Tech experts Sunith Tatinini and Chaitanya Ayinpudi quit their corporate jobs to set up start-up 'Cairo Water' which means 'dear water' with a goal to reduce plastic waste.
According to reports, Sunit Tatinini, co-founder of Cairo Water, said, "A person who is travelling long will buy at least one litre of water five bottles. Less than 10 percent of these plastic bottles are being recycled. It is a serious issue. To find a solution to this issue, we have started packing water using cardboard boxes, which are filled with recycleable bag-in-box bags".
These places will have more attention:-
Sunith said these water cans are available in two types of 5 litres and 20 litres. When asked about the price, he said that a 5 litre box is available for Rs 75 while a tax of Rs 120 is levied for 20 litres of water cans. Chaitanya mentioned that in a big sense of change at the grass root level, he has focused more on hospitals, hotels and small-scale parties where plastic waste always pile up.
