Have a lot of fluids

It is necessary to keep your body hydrated. Drinking enough fluid keeps your mucous membranes moist and makes it easier to fight bacteria and irritants like allergens that make it easy for the body to fight back against the cold.

Suck on a garlic

Garlic is a remedy and can fight a sore throat where there it is painful. It contains allicin, a compound that kills bacteria causing strep and fights germs causing pain and irritation in the throat.
