Lucknow: Every political party has given its whole life to win the civic elections in Uttar Pradesh. In Rampur, Samajwadi Party (SP) strongman and former minister Azam Khan also addressed a public meeting in Shahabad tehsil. Azam Khan played the emotional card in the public meeting. The SP leader called himself a beggar and said that he was standing with his hands outstretched. I have come to beg for votes. 

At the time of SP leader Azam Khan reaching the dais in the public meeting, there was some ruckus. Azam got angry on this. Giving advice to the people, he said what has happened to you? Can't you stand still? SP leader Azam said, "There is no discipline in you. We have become worse than sheep." Azam said that we are beggars after all. Some keep the vote in hand, while some keep the note. Some spit and some keep coals. Azam, playing an emotional card, said, "By including all these, we will buy pens for your children."

During this, Azam Khan taunted the government for installing a 20 feet knife in Rampur at a cost of 80 lakhs. He said that once the knife was the identity of Rampur. After 40 years of hard work, this stigma was removed from the foreheads of the people of Rampur. Azam said that today an attempt is being made to take the pen from the hands of the people by using a knife worth Rs 80 lakh. He questioned the public that people want knives to be distributed among them.
