Islamabad: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Rameez Raja once again made a scathing statement regarding the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He has reiterated that if Pakistan is denied the opportunity to host the Asia Cup in 2023, Pakistan may boycott the ODI World Cup to be held in India next year. However, Ramiz Raja also said that he wanted the two countries to host each other again.

Let us tell you that the tension between the two cricket boards started in October when BCCI Secretary Jay Shah told that Team India will not tour Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023. He even talked about holding this event at a neutral venue. In response, the PCB had threatened to draw out of the ODI World Cup, to be held after the Asia Cup next year. Ramiz Raja said on Saturday, 'We don't really want to go there, but it's just that the fans want us to react. The fans are completely angry with the narrative of India regarding India-Pakistan.' Ramiz also claimed that 'We have survived without India for many years now. Pakistan has seen the scale of the economy internally and we have saved ourselves quite well.'

In a conversation with former England cricketer Michael Atherton, Ramiz Raja called the BCCI's stand unfair and said that PCB would oppose the change of venue for the Asia Cup. He said, 'I think the government has a policy and I don't know whether they will come or not. Asia Cup means a lot to the fans, it is a multi-country competition. We will protest. I am in favor of India-Pakistan matches, I have said this on record.' Let us tell you that due to Pakistan's pro-terrorist attitude, India is clearly refusing to go there and play cricket. Even, Pakistani players like Shaheed Afridi, and Shoaib Akhtar have been seen speaking the language of terrorists, in such a situation BCCI is refusing to go to Pakistan for Asia Cup.
