Just few days are left to ICC world Cup 2019 and India already started focusing on the improvement on the different departments. While team India still to make decision on No 4 batsman, Indian bowling coach Bharat Arun is confident about India's chances of lifting the coveted World Cup trophy this year and believes the Men in Blue have the bowling attack to go all the way at the showpiece event in England and Wales.
Talking about the bowling attack, Arun told sportstar, “We have the bowling to win the World Cup in England. We have the right kind of pacemen, wrist spinners, finger spinner and support bowlers.” He further added, “In Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar, India has two of the best ODI bowlers in world cricket. And Shami, with his speed and movement, can win you games. India has a formidable pace pack. And it is backed by a very good spin attack.
The Indian bowling attack is currently one of the best in the world. Both pacers and spinners have have displayed phenomenal performance in the fifty-over format. The recent 3-2 defeat in the five-match series against Australia was India's first ever ODI series loss at home under Virat Kohli's captaincy and the team's only second ODI series loss since the Champions Trophy in 2017.
India currently have three bowlers in top ten ODI rankings with pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah maintaining his dominance on the top for quite a while now. The formidable duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal are placed 6th and 8th respectively.
