New Delhi: weather continues to wreak havoc in North India due to heatwave. In particular, in most parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. People faced the problems as the mercury reached 47 degrees. However, light rain in some areas of North India tried to provide relief, but could not get even more benefit.

According to information, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of lightning in western Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. In the national capital also, the mercury was recorded across 44 degrees. The data from Safdarjung Observatory recorded the average maximum temperature of Delhi at 42.5 °c, which is two points above normal, while the lowest average was 29.8 degrees. The weather stations of Ayanagar and Palam recorded a maximum temperature of 44.6 degrees.

With this, Banda was the hottest in Uttar Pradesh, where the temperature was recorded 5 degree Celsius above normal. Banda's average maximum temperature was 47.2 °c. This was followed by a temperature of 47 degrees in Jhansi, 45.5 degrees in Agra, 44.7 degrees in Prayagraj and 44.8 degrees Celsius in Etawah.
