Bhopal: The Met department has issued a rain alert in 29 districts, including Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Apart from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh has also been put on alert for heavy rain. The department said that most districts in both states may experience heavy rains in the next 24 hours.
The Met Department has issued a red and orange alert. Districts of Madhya Pradesh which have been put on rain alert include Anuppur, Dindori, Umaria, Shahdol, Katni, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat, Chhindwara, Sivani, Sagar, Damoh, Raisen, Vidisha, Sihor, Hoshangabad, Baitul, Harda, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Barwani, Dhar, Dhar, Shyopur Kala Khargoon, Rajgarh, Guna, Shyopur, Ashok Nagar and Bhopal districts are included.
The Met Department has also issued a red and orange alert for heavy rain in Chhattisgarh. The Met Department has issued red alert for the next 24 hours in Raipur, Baloda Bazar, Mahasamund, Dhamtari, Narayanpur, Bastar, Bijapur, Dantewada and Sukma in Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, there is a strong possibility of heavy rain. In Chhattisgarh, orange alert has been issued for the next 24 hours in Kawardha, Bemetra, Bilaspur, Janjgir and Kanker and in Rajnandgaon, Balod and Durg for the next 48 hours.
