Mumbai: The southwest monsoon has gained momentum in the country. After knocking in Maharashtra, the monsoon has reached West Bengal. Now it is expected that the monsoon will reach Bihar soon. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) estimates that there is a possibility of thunderstorms and thunder showers in some areas in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan today i.e. Saturday.

At the same time, the temperature of Delhi, the capital of the country, has increased, but there is relief from the heat. Kuldeep Srivastava, chairman of the regional forecast center of the meteorological department, has said that there is no possibility of heat wave in the region till June 15.

The mercury reached 42 degrees Celsius on Friday in the country's capital Delhi. According to news agency PTI, the Safdarjung observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 41.5 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal. The weather stations at Palam and Pusa recorded maximum temperatures of 42 ° C and 42.7 ° C respectively. The Meteorological Department said that the sky may remain partly cloudy on Saturday.
