Moreover, according to the Met Department (IMD), light rain or snowfall may occur in the western Himalayan region during the next 3 days. Light rain is likely to occur in the adjoining plains today. IMD says that light rain and snowfall are expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh for the next three days, while Uttarakhand is likely to receive rain and snowfall today.
The Met department has also expressed apprehension that cloudy conditions and light rain may occur over Punjab, Haryana, and western Uttar Pradesh. Let me tell you that the mercury plunged to 7.8 degrees Celsius in the national capital Delhi on Wednesday, while the maximum temperature was 22.5 degrees Celsius. The Met department said the minimum temperature was one degree below normal.
