Bhopal: It is scorching hot in many states of the country. The mercury has crossed 40 degrees in many states, including Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, and Maharashtra. At the same time, the mercury has crossed 39 degrees in the NCR, including Delhi and Noida. According to the Meteorological Department, the heat has started showing its attitude in Madhya Pradesh. The temperature in more than a dozen districts has crossed 40 degrees.

Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh recorded the highest temperature of 42 degrees. The highest night temperature was recorded in Narmadapuram-Raisen. The temperature in Rajgarh, Satna, Sidhi, Umaria, Gwalior, Ratlam, Khandwa Khargone, and Shivpuri has crossed 40 degrees. The Meteorological Department said that the temperature may increase further today. There is a possibility of severe heat at the end of April and May.

Chhattisgarh is also experiencing severe heat. In most areas of the state, the temperature is above 40 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, the people of Delhi-NCR may have to face tremendous heat. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 39 degrees Celsius. The sky will be clear in Delhi during the day. At the same time, in some places in Bihar, the mercury has gone above 40 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has warned that there will be severe heat in Bihar in the next few days. According to the Meteorological Department, Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 41.5 degrees Celsius on Friday, while Gaya, Rohtas, Jamui, Aurangabad, and Khagaria recorded maximum temperatures of 41.3, 41.2, 40.8, 40.7, and 40.6 degrees Celsius, respectively.
