The MET department (IMD) has warned of heavy rain in most hilly areas including Chardham in Uttarakhand for two to three days from today i.e. In fact, today, Sunday, having bad weather and in view of this, the administration has temporarily stopped the Kedarnath yatra. Recently, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the disaster management department, police administration and all district magistrates to remain on alert.

Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority and Disaster Management Department have reportedly asked local residents to remain vigilant and keep distance from the river and drain in view of the warning. At the same time, it has been said, "Passengers travelling to Uttarakhand should stay in a safe place and those who are going to travel should avoid travelling for these 2 days.'' On the other hand, when it comes to North India, the weather is taking a turn in many states. In fact, some parts of the national capital received light to moderate rain this morning and by noon, many areas started receiving heavy rain.

Talking about Delhi, the MET department has issued an orange alert over the rains here. Light to moderate rain is forecast for the next 2 days.
