New Delhi: The states of North India, which are reeling under severe heat, including Delhi, and UP, are eagerly awaiting monsoon these days. However, in the meantime, the Meteorological Department has given good news about the monsoon. In fact, the Meteorological Department has informed that the southwest monsoon has moved over some more parts of the central Arabian Sea, east Goa, parts of Konkan and parts of Karnataka. If we believe the meteorology, the heat wave will continue for two days in the areas of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. According to the Met department, Delhi is expected to be partly cloudy, with a strong wind in the next few days, but there is no possibility of any major respite from the heat till June 15.

Also, conditions will remain favourable for further advance of monsoon over some more parts of the north Arabian Sea, Gujarat, parts of Marathwada, some more parts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and most parts of Bay of Bengal, and the entire sub-Himalayan west. Within the next two to three days, the monsoon will reach Bengal and Sikkim, parts of Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar. R K Jenamani, a senior scientist of the department, said, "There is no possibility of any major relief in the maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR and other parts of northwest India till June 15. Apart from this, the IMD said that the running of the moisture-laden supply will provide a lot of relief from the scorching heat from June 16.''

An IMD official said pre-monsoon activities are expected to start from June 12 in eastern Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha, but in northern Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and north Madhya Pradesh, the temperature will remain above normal till June 15. The southwest monsoon reached Maharashtra on Saturday, two days late from the normal date of its arrival. And normally, the monsoon reaches the Konkan region by June 9. In such a situation, it is being said that the southwest monsoon has arrived in Konkan and some parts of central Maharashtra.

This will cause rain in some parts of the state. Areas, where heavy rains are likely to occur, have also been alerted. In the next 48 hours, there are favourable conditions for the further advance of the monsoon in Maharashtra. If the situation is right, the monsoon system will go further. According to the Meteorological Department, the cyclonic wind is continuously active in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. A trough line is going from Bihar to Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Assam for the last five days.

Under the influence of this, 13 districts including East-West Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Madhubani, Supaul, and Araria in the northern part of Bihar are likely to receive moderate rainfall. At the same time, there is a heat wave situation in Kaimur, Rohtas, and Aurangabad. According to the Met department, right now the people of Bihar may have to wait a little longer for the monsoon. Apart from this, 20 districts of MP, which are reeling under severe heat, received relief rain on Saturday evening. According to the Meteorological Department, if this speed of monsoon is maintained, then it can also knock in MP for three-four days i.e. around June 15.
