From Rajasthan to Delhi.., IMD expressed forecast of severe cold wave

New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has said in its forecast that due to snowfall on the mountains, winter will once again wreak havoc in the plains. According to the Meteorological Department, the cold wave is going to continue in many areas of Rajasthan from today till January 17. A similar situation is likely to prevail in Karnataka as well. Along with this, severe cold wave conditions will prevail in Himachal Pradesh on January 15-17, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh on January 16-18, and Uttar Pradesh on January 17-18.

According to the Meteorological Department, foggy conditions will re-form in the plains during night and morning. According to IMD, fog is expected in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar for the next five days. Along with this, fog will remain in West Bengal, Rajasthan, Odisha, Assam, Tripura, Jammu-Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Madhya Pradesh till January 16-18.

At the same time, there is no possibility of getting relief from the severe cold in Bihar. In some areas, there is going to be severe cold in the coming 5 days. For a day or two, there will be stability in the minimum temperature in the state, but after that, the mercury can again go down by four to five degrees. Due to this, severe cold conditions will again prevail at many places in the state. The temperature may drop much below normal.
