Kolkata: In Durgapur district of West Bengal, a shocking incident has taken place. A teenager has been badly scorched by a sudden short circuit while talking to a mobile in charge. He was admitted to a hospital in Durgapur for treatment in critical condition. The girl remains in critical condition. The girl was reportedly talking to someone through earphones by charging her mobile. The injured girl is a resident of Deshbandhu Nagar. The girl's name is said to be Ria Banerjee.
The girl was reportedly on a mobile fire from a short circuit when she was talking on the phone. In this incident, 90 per cent of the girl's body has been scorched. Many other items in the room were also burnt down. The people nearby ran to hear Rhea's screaming. Riya was admitted to a hospital in Durgapur with the help of police.
A fire brigade rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. When the accident happened, Riya was alone at home. His mother had gone to work in Anganwadi. Neighbours say Rhea's marriage was recently fixed. The condition of Riya's mother Chhobi Banerjee has worsened after the incident. The whole family is in a bad shape.
