Kolkata: Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar, who is facing several issues with the West Bengal government, has said that I do not have to wage any war with the government. My aim is only to serve the people of West Bengal. He has also said that the universities of the state are not working according to their mind. West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar said this while addressing the MCCI Education Forum.

He said that as the Vice-Chancellor of the Universities of the state, I have witnessed many developmental works that have made headlines. Governor Jagdeep Dhankad has said that if I start telling them all, it will become the headlines of the newspapers the next day. It is believed that being the Vice-Chancellors of Universities, we allow them to work according to themselves, but this is not the case.

He further said that the question arises, who is bigger, governor or state? I tried to know the role of Governor and State Government in the operation of universities. I found that both have a small role in it. So 'who is bigger' is that we should cooperate in operations rather than competition.
