Kolkata: Political violence continues in West Bengal even after the Lok Sabha elections and results. Violence is also going on with the electoral battle between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Trinamool Congress (TMC). Meanwhile, Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi has convened an all-party meeting on the state situation.

The meeting will also include TMC, BJP, Congress, and other regional parties. The meeting could be held around 4 p.m. Thursday at the Raj Bhavan. It is the endeavour of the governor to correct the ever deteriorating political situation in the State through this meeting. It may be noted that even on Wednesday, BJP workers had gheraoed the police headquarters in Kolkata. In the meantime, the BJP made a hue and cry against the government of the cm and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee.

On the other hand, tear gas shells were released on the BJP workers, and water showers were also struck. BJP alleges that many of their workers have been injured in the police operation. BJP's female workers are also among injured. The BJP's protest was led by Bengal BJP Incharge Kailash Vijayvargiya.
