Kolkata: A group of citizens of Bangladesh who illegally filed Bangladesh citizens in India and made indian on papers has been unearthed in Chandan Nagar commissioner of Hooghly District in West Bengal. Police have taken action in the case and arrested six Bangladeshis along with Indian documents like fake passports, Aadhaar, rations, PAN cards etc.

The main gangster is Akash Das, a resident of Halishahr in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. All the accused arrested by the police were produced before the court CJM Chuchuda. All have been sent to 7 days police remand by the court. Giving details in this regard, Cp Arnab Ghosh of Chandannagar Commissionerate said that police have arrested these Bangladeshi nationals under Sections 467, 468, 471 of IPC besides Section 14, 14A, 14C of foreigners Act, 1946.
 
Police arrested all the accused from Bendel Litchu Bagan Green Park area of Chuchuda police station area. Police have recovered fake Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, voter cards and other papers from them.  According to police sources, the main mastermind of the case is Akash Das, a resident of 24 Parganas district north of Bengal, who bought a flat on the third floor in a multi-storey building in Green Park, Bendel, Chuchuda police station area, where the six accused were staying in his own flat.
