Kolkata: West Bengal Police and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have come face to face once again. The police has stopped the BJP's Parivartan rally in Bahrampur in Murshidabad district today. According to the police, the Rath Yatra was not allowed today, which is why it was stopped. Talks are going on between the police and the BJP leadership.

Meanwhile, the hearing of the PIL filed for BJP's Parivartan Rath Yatra in West Bengal has been postponed. The hearing of the PIL filed in the Kolkata High Court will now be held on 11 February. The whip of the administration on the BJP's Parivartha Rath Yatra has been going on since day one. On the very first day, the administration had issued permission to take out the rath yatra quite late. BJP had alleged that TMC was not allowing them to take out the Rath Yatra, while TMC said that there was nothing to do with us, permission would be issued by the local administration for the Rath Yatra.

The BJP is taking out this Rath Yatra for the change of power in Bengal. It was started by the party's national president JP Nadda by flagging off the Rath Yatra from Navdeep on 6 February. Today again he is reaching Bengal to flag off two rath yatras. These yatras will depart from Chillar Math and Jhargram.
