New Delhi: Visitors Australia have lost the third T20 International to the West Indies. This is the Kangaroos' third consecutive defeat in the five-match series. With this win, West Indies have taken an unbeaten 3-0 lead in the series.  Chris Gayle played a key role in winning the Caribbean team. He batted brilliantly and scored 67 runs.

Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting, the Australian team got off to a good start. Opening batsmen Aaron Finch and Matthew Wade added 41 runs for the first wicket. Wade was out for 23 while Finch scored 30 runs. Alex Carey and Mitchell Marsh also returned to the pavilion early after the duo left. Moises Henriques (33) and Ashton Turner (24) then played useful innings. The Kangaroos thus scored 141 for 6 in the stipulated 20 overs. Hayden Walsh took the highest number of 2 wickets for the West Indies. Chasing a target of 142 runs, West Indies did not get off to a good start and the first wicket fell for a total of just 4 runs. Andre Fletcher, who came in to start the innings, returned to the pavilion after scoring 4 runs.

In that case, Lendl Simmons took the Windies innings forward with Chris Gayle. Simmons did not stay on the field for long and was dismissed for 15 runs. Chris Gayle, batting smoke at one end, bowled out the Kangaroos. Gayle scored 67 off 38 balls with the help of 4 fours and 7 sixes during his stormy innings. Apart from him, Nicholas Pooran scored an unbeaten 32 in the captaincy innings. West Indies reached the target of 142 runs for 4 wickets with 31 balls to spare. Chris Gayle, who batted brilliantly, was awarded the Player of the Match award.
