GUJRAT: Western Railways has decided to experiment with additional stops for the Bandra (T) – Gorakhpur Antyodaya Express, including halts at Tulsipur station and Charkhi Dadri station for the Ahmedabad – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Express.

This decision aims to assess the impact and feasibility of these extra stoppages, with the primary goal of enhancing connectivity and travel convenience for passengers in the region.

In a related development on August 2, the Central Railway zone of Indian Railways announced the provision of additional stoppages at Thane and Kalyan stations, effective from Friday, August 4, for both the CSMT-Shirdi Sainagar Vande Bharat Express and the CSMT-Solapur Vande Bharat Express. These Vande Bharat trains are operated by the Central Railway.

According to the official release, the CSMT-Shirdi Sainagar Vande Bharat train is scheduled to arrive at Thane station at 6:49 AM and depart at 6:51 AM. Its expected arrival at Kalyan station is 7:11 AM with a departure at 7:13 AM. The Shirdi Sainagar-CSMT train will reach Thane at 10:06 PM and depart at 10:08 PM, while the arrival and departure timings at Kalyan station are 9:45 PM and 9:47 PM, respectively.

The demand for additional stoppages for both these trains was raised by Thane MP Rajan Vichare, as commuters from the Thane district faced inconvenience traveling to Dadar or CSMT to board these semi-high-speed trains.
