The tricolor is hoisted every year on Independence Day and Republic Day. In such a situation, 26 January is going to come in this year i.e. 2020 and the tricolor will also be hoisted on this day. 1 . The flag should be made of wool, cotton, silk or khadi cut by hand and woven and the flag should be rectangular in shape. Also, the ratio of its length and width should be 3: 2. Keep in mind that the color of saffron cannot be flagged or hoisted downwards.

2 . Keep in mind that the tricolor can be hoisted only from sunrise to sunset and the flag can never be placed on the ground. With this, the flag will not be hoisted in half.

3 .   Keep in mind that the flag can never be immersed in water and it should not be verbally or literally insulted except to burn, damage or damage any part of the flag. If you do this, you could face up to three years in prison or a fine, or both.

4 . The flag should not be bowed to salute, and if a person tilts the flag in front of someone, dresses it, wraps it in the statue or the body of a dead person (other than the soldiers of the martyred armed forces) If put on it, it is considered an insult to the tricolor.

5 . The tricolor should not be worn as a uniform and the tricolor should not be used for making undergarments, handkerchiefs or cushions etc.

6 .  People should not write any kind of letters on the flag and before raising the flag on special occasions and national days like Republic Day and Independence Day, flower petals should be placed in it.

7. The position of the hoisted flag should be respectable. A torn or unruffled flag should not be hoisted and if the flag bursts, if it becomes dirty, it should be destroyed completely in a secluded manner.
