Let us tell you that, under the leadership of Chief Justice (CJI) DY Chandrachud, a bench of five judges of the Supreme Court is going to hear all the appeals related to giving legal recognition to same-sex marriages on Tuesday. Apart from CJI Chandrachud, 4 other Justices—SK Kaul, S Ravindra Bhat, Hima Kohli, and PS Narasimha—are included in this bench.

The matter related to same-sex marriages is going to be heard after at least 15 petitions, which on March 13 of last month were referred to a larger bench, taking an official decision from the CJI-led bench, saying that this is a "very seminal issue".
