New Delhi: Rohit Sharma is currently the all-format captain of Team India. He may not have been able to lead India to victory in last year's Asia Cup and T20 World Cup, but he has done well as captain so far. Even he has left behind former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli in terms of captaincy. Rohit has achieved a new feat in ODI cricket as a captain.
In fact, there are only 3 captains for India who have scored 1000 or more runs in ODI cricket with an average of 50 or more, one MS Dhoni, the other Virat Kohli, and the third Rohit Sharma. But apart from this, Rohit Sharma is the only captain in ODI cricket to score more than 1000 runs with a strike rate of 100 or more and an average of more than 50.
Hitman Rohit Sharma has so far captained Team India in 23 ODIs, scoring 1019 runs with 7 fifties and a century. During this, his strike rate has also been more than 100. He has so far captained India in 70 international matches and if we look at the winning percentage in white ball cricket, he appears to be the most successful captain in the history of the Indian cricket team.
