New Delhi: Former Indian fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad has lashed out at Team India after the second consecutive defeat against Bangladesh. Venkatesh Prasad has also questioned the team management. Before losing the series to Bangladesh, Team India also lost the series in this format in New Zealand too. The Indian team has not won any ICC trophy since 2013.
On this defeat, Prasad wrote in a tweet, 'India is taking new initiatives in so many areas around the world, but our strategy in limited overs cricket is years old.' Prasad said, 'England took tough decisions after being eliminated in the first round of the 2015 World Cup and has become such a great team today. India will also have to take tough decisions and change its thinking. We haven't won a single T20 World Cup since the IPL started and haven't done much in ODIs in the last five years except winning meaningless bilateral series.'
Prasad further said, 'Team India has not learned from its mistakes for a long time and we are not able to do anything special in ODI cricket. Change is necessary.' Let us tell you that Team India has to play the ICC World Cup on home ground next year, so before this mega event, the team management needs to find answers to many questions.
