According to Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, 64 special flights will be operated from May 7 to May 13 to return home to Indians trapped abroad. In this, 15 flights will be operated in the first week. This process is only part of the Vande Bharat Mission.

He said that the government is running the 'Vande India Mission' with the help of several agencies, under which special flights will be flown to Britain, USA, and Singapore, Malaysia, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Philippines, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bangladesh. Only 200 to 300 passengers will be allowed to sit in these special flights, that is, social distancing will also be strictly followed in these special flights.
