Actually, there is a story behind this marriage too. The marriage of the minor girl's elder sister (age 22 years) was arranged with this middle-aged man. When the girl came to know that her groom was more than twice her age, she ran away. It is alleged that the girl's maternal aunt had taken money to get her married. On the information of the girl running away from the house, the ground beneath the feet of the family members slipped. In a hurry, it has also been decided to make her younger sister a bride. And in this way a 16 year old girl was married to a 45 year old man.
The girl who was a child widow ran away from home: A girl resident of Phalodi (Jodhpur) told a painful story. The girl has said about this that she was married off at the age of 13. Her husband lost his life almost 40 days after the marriage. In this way she had become a child widow. Continuing her point, the girl has also said that she did not even know about it at that time. When she turned 18, it came to know that she was married 5 years ago and she is a child widow. She told that her first marriage was done to save money, while the second marriage was being done to earn money. When she came to know that her future husband was 45 years old, she ran away from home. After this her younger sister (16 years) was made a bride.
