We book tickets for confirmed tickets several times in advance so that we don't have to fight later. Most of us book tickets for our journey months in advance. But a small mistake makes your pleasant journey as well as the hard work of booking tickets months in advance. Today we will tell you what you have to take care of. First, if you have taken your e-ticket or taken a reservation counter ticket, don't forget to keep the ticket as well as ID proof. If you have forgotten your ID proof due to travel, you will be considered to be traveling without a ticket on the train.
What to do if you are afraid of losing a berth:-
If you are afraid of losing a berth booked months ago, let's reduce your anxiety a little. If you have forgotten your ID proof because of traveling on the train, the Railways have made a policy for that also. As per railway rules, if you forget your ID, you will be considered ticketless, but you have been given the right by the Railways to pay the fare for the said journey to the Running Ticket Inspector (TTE) with a fine and you can travel on the same berth.
The TTE will allot the berth you booked months ago after deducting your fine receipt. These are the rules after forgetting the ID proof. That is what we tell you now that if you have lost the ticket taken from the reservation counter before the journey, you need not worry. The Railways have framed rules for this also. If the ticket is lost before you travel, you can make a duplicate ticket by paying Rs. 50 for sleeper class and Rs 100 for AC category by giving a written application to the Chief Reservation Supervisor before charting the train.
