New Delhi: The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has refused to change its order canceling the registration of 10-year-old diesel vehicles in Delhi-NCR. A bench headed by NGT Chairman Adarsh Kumar Goel said the supreme court has already rejected the appeal against its order.

The bench said that as stated in the July 18, 2016 order, the apex court had rejected the appeal against the April 7, 2015 order not to allow diesel vehicles more than 10 years old to ply on Delhi-NCR roads. He said that under these circumstances, the amendment that has been requested falls under the category of review. The order against which the appeal has already been rejected cannot be allowed to be reviewed. Petitions are dismissed.

The tribunal passed the order while hearing a petition filed by the Haryana progressive schools conference, an association of schools affiliated to the central board of secondary education (CBSE) and Indian secondary education certificate (ICSE) in the state of Haryana, urging amendments to NGT orders and prosecution.
