USA: One more day, one more feature. WhatsApp doesn't appear to stop operating. The platform is putting more of an emphasis on enhancing user account privacy.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp now has a feature that lets Android users lock and hide their chats. The "Lock Chat" function is currently under development. It will be included in a subsequent update of the app.

The newest WhatsApp feature will enable users to add an extra layer of security to shield their private conversations from prying eyes. When a chat is locked, only the user's fingerprint or passcode will open it, making it very difficult for anyone else to access the chat. The "Lock Chat" function aims to safeguard user data privacy.

You can keep your chats private using WhatsApp's newest feature. A conversation that has been added to the list of locked chats can no longer be accessed without your fingerprint or passcode.

Additionally, users will be prompted to clear the conversation before opening it if they try to access the chats but are unable to provide the required biometric authentication.

Additionally, the "Lock Chat" feature will protect media privacy. It will make sure that files sent in a locked chat, such as photos and videos, are not saved to the device's gallery. If necessary, users could manually save them.

For Windows polls, WhatsApp is promoting a new feature that makes multiple answers impossible.

Users will be required to select just one response if the option is enabled by the poll composer. People will only choose the option they are most passionate about, which will produce more accurate poll results. Likewise, even with the toggle turned off, users can choose multiple answers.

The poll results will be more pertinent thanks to the latest Windows update. Beta testers of the feature can already access it on iOS and Android. It is currently rolling out for Windows beta as well.
