USA: Calling on WhatsApp is about to get much simpler. The business is developing a feature that will let users make calling shortcuts, claims WABetaInfo. The shortcut will automatically show up on the home screen of your smartphone. However, this function is still being worked on and won't be accessible until an app update.
We did not anticipate the well-known instant messaging app to introduce a new calling shortcut feature. This feature might be useful for you if you're one of the users who uses WhatsApp to make calls frequently. Instead of opening the app each time you want to make a call, you can use the new shortcut to do so more quickly.
You must first choose the contact from your WhatsApp contact list in order to create a call shortcut. The call shortcut will be automatically added to your device's home screen once it has been created. If you frequently call the same person, the call shortcut will not only save you time but also make placing calls simpler.

The drawing editor on Android is also getting a makeover from WhatsApp. The drawing editor will come with new fonts like Courier Prime, Calistoga, Morning Breeze, and Damion as well as tools like an alignment text manager. The new fonts can be used on photos, GIFs, and videos but are only available in the in-app drawing editor. Text status updates and chat messages cannot be written in these fonts.

Thankfully, you can now record videos without having to tap and hold. WhatsApp has also raised the character limits for group subjects and group descriptions on beta channels from 512 to 2048 characters and 25 to 100 characters, respectively.
