Prem Nath was one of the most popular actors of his time. He was famous for playing negative characters. Prem Nath's career was framed after he was featured in negative characters or as a supporting cast did extremely well at Bollywood. He established himself as one of the best-supporting actors in Hindi cinema. He was from a non-film family of Madhya Pradesh, Prem Nath was still able to make it big in Bollywood. He has dated top leading actresses. He was married to Bina Rai. She has also been called and written as 'Bina Roy' at some places. Actress Bina Rai is still remembered by people for her films like 'Ghoonghat', 'Taj Mahal', 'Anarkali' and many more. Bina Rai and Prem Nath fell in love with each other while working on the sets of the film 'Aurat'. The two soon got married and had two sons, Prem Kishan and Kailash Nath aka 'Monty'.

Prem Nath was also madly in love with the famous actress of his time, Madhubala. Both the stars were about to tie the knot as well, but due to religious differences, both were separated. Once, in an interview, Prem Nath's wife Bina Rai told that she had taken good care of her husband throughout his life because of Madhubala.

 Prem Nath died in the year 1992, after which, in the year 1996. Bina Rai opened all the secrets of her heart in an interview. She talked a lot about her husband Prem Nath and Madhubala. She said, “"Yes they were in love. My husband was very upset about her condition. He couldn't accept the fact that she was seriously ill. They must have shared something beautiful but things don't always work out. Love stories don't always have happy endings… I'm told Madhubala was very disturbed on the day we got married."

 On the career front, Prem Nath  has featured in films like 'Aag' and 'Barsaat'. While Prem Nath was lucky to have been a part of Raj Kapoor's debut directorial venture 'Aag Prem Nath's health condition deteriorated since his last Bollywood appearance 'Hum Dono' in 1985. He subsequently succumbed to a fatal heart attack in the year 1992. Prem Nath was 66 years of age at the time of death.
