She has worked in films like 'Khokha 420', 'Khiladi' and 'Sondhe Namar Aagey'. She grabbed al the limelight when she did an intercaste marriage with Nikhil Jain.
Nusrat got married Nikhil Jain in Bordum, Turkey. Nusrat Jahan is a Muslim while her husband was a Jain, a fatwa was also issued against her. At that she got brutally trolled for wearing Mangalsutra and applying Sindoor. Some people even threatened to kill Nusrat. Both of them were married according to Muslim, Hindu and Christian customs.
She grabbed all the limelight after their marriage and later by declaring this marriage illegal. Nusrat Jahan had issued a statement saying , “Due to being on a foreign land, this marriage is invalid according to the Turkish Marriage Regulation. Along with this, it was an interfaith marriage (marriage between people of two religions), so it needed to be given legal recognition in India but it did not happen.”
