Jamui: In the Jamui district of Bihar, a man is pleading with the administration to meet his wife. He said that when he asks his wife to go to her mother-in-law's house, he is beaten up. Troubled by beating and harassment, the husband is now pleading with the administration for justice.
The victim's name is Vikas Kumar and his wife's name is Rinky Kumari. Vikas said that he wants to keep his wife with him. But the in-laws have become enemies of the son-in-law. They don't want to send their daughter with their son-in-law. Vikas has been worried for 7 years to bring his wife home. Vikas, a labourer by profession, was married to Rinki Kumari in 2011 at Auraiya village under Sono police station in Jamui district. In 2014, Vikas went to Daman with his wife. From where he returned in the year 2015 and went to his in-laws' house to celebrate Holi with his wife. But after Holi, when he wanted to bring his wife back home, the in-laws refused. Then Vikas returned to his home with his son leaving his wife. Even after several requests, the parents did not send their daughter to her in-laws' house. When Vikas took refuge in the court, the wife went and returned to him for some time.
Then again in 2021, his wife went to her home. Then the same drama began. Vikas's in-laws did not allow their daughter to go to him. When Vikas went to his in-laws' house, he was asked for money. He gave 5,000 rupees. But when he wanted to bring his wife home, he was locked in the room and beaten badly by the sister-in-law, brother-in-law and mother-in-law. After several days of treatment, when he returned home and demanded that his wife be brought back to his house, he was not allowed to come. Vikas said that his in-laws often assault him.
