Jaipur: The exercise to hold student body elections in Rajasthan after two years has begun. CM Ashok Gehlot has given the green signal for the student body elections. Now, during the month of August, elections can be held in Rajasthan. Announcing the elections, CM Gehlot said that all students and organisations should participate in the elections enthusiastically by following the guidelines of the respective colleges and universities. My best wishes are with all of you. The elections can be held in August.

Gehlot tweeted, "Today's students are the future of the country. In view of the demand of the student organisations and to enhance the understanding of the democratic process among the students, the Department has been directed to conduct student elections in universities and colleges.'' NSUI leader Abhishek Chaudhary also praised Ashok Gehlot's decision. Rahul retweeted Gehlot's tweet and said that democracy, where the central government of this country makes every effort to crush it by making different excuses. At the same time, allowing your student body elections in this period presents another proof that you are a Jannayak. Thank you on behalf of the youth and students of the whole of Rajasthan.

Let us know that earlier in the year 2020, due to Corona, the election of the students' union was banned by the government after the task force formed by the governor had suggested not to hold the election. The students of NSUI and ABVP were agitating for the conduct of the elections. Today, NSUI chief Abhishek Chaudhary met CM Gehlot and demanded that the elections be held. Lakhs of students participate in the student body elections in Rajasthan. Rajasthan University alone has 28,000 voters.
