New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi recently visited Goa. During his visit, Rahul met the people there. Meanwhile, Rahul tweeted that Goa deserves competent leadership. Goa deserves cultural protection. Goa deserves favourable growth. Goa is entitled to Congress rule. I stand with Goa for a better tomorrow. Rahul Gandhi visited the state on Saturday ahead of next year's assembly elections.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi went to the fishing village of Velsao where he met the fishermen. Addressing the fishing community, he said, 'The idea of this program is to talk to you people. I want to hear what's in your heart.' Rahul had claimed that the election manifesto is a "guarantee," that Congress had waived off agricultural loans in Chhattisgarh, as he had promised. Rahul Gandhi promised to protect the environment of Goa and said, "My mother comes here when she is in poor health. She takes advantage of your beautiful sea. We are protecting the environment of Goa and India.''

Gandhi emphasised that Congress wants to protect the interests of Goa and protect its environment. He said, 'We want to protect your interests. If it doesn't benefit Goa, we don't want it to become a coal hub.' He claimed to behave like a "family member" and claimed that he would fulfil the promises he had made.
