First of all, Charanjeet Singh Channi is a Dalit face -  Charanjeet Singh Channi, who is going to be the new CM of Punjab, comes from the Dalit community. On the other hand, for the benefit of Dalits, he has also taken a stand against his own party on several occasions. Charanjeet Singh Channi is currently an MLA from Chamkaur Sahib seat. He was also made cabinet minister in Amarinder Singh's government and was given the post of Technical Education Minister. While in that post, some of his videos went viral that caused a lot of trouble for the then Captain Sarkar.
