New Delhi: Virat Kohli has announced to quit captaining Team India from the T20 format after the T20 World Cup. Team India will get a new captain after the T20 World Cup 2021. BCCI hasn't opened its cards in this regard yet. But the matter now seems to be unfolding. Media reports suggest that the Indian team will get a new captain in T20 cricket after the T20 World Cup.

India will play under the leadership of the new captain in the T20 series against New Zealand. Rohit Sharma is said to be replaced by Virat Kohli as the new captain, BCCI sources said. The report quoted BCCI sources as saying that it is no secret who will captain next. Rohit Sharma is part of the leadership group and will replace Virat after the T20 World Cup. An official announcement in this regard will be made after the World Cup.
