Beijing: A song by singer and musician Bappi Lahiri, who started the era of disco and pop music in Bollywood, is becoming tremendously viral in China these days. In fact, the people of the country, plagued by the restrictions imposed due to China's strict Covid policy, are protesting against the lockdown. For this, locals are seen singing the famous song 'Jimmy Jimmy Aaja Aaja' by Bappi Lahiri, the composer of the 1982 film 'Disco Dancer.' People of China's protest by singing 'Jimmy Jimmy Aaja Aaja' on social media is surprising people.

The Indian song is being sung on China's social media site 'Doyuyin' (The Chinese name of TikTok) in the local language 'Mandarin'. Actually, the word 'Jimmy Jimmy' in that language means - give me rice, give me rice. Some women are seen wearing Indian sarees and kurtas in the video. The Chinese are showing in the viral video how they are deprived of essential foods and empty utensils during the lockdown. Let me tell you that, the scissors of the Chinese Censor Board have not yet been fired on this video, which is famous for immediately removing any post made against the country.

Let us know that all this is happening due to the zero Covid policy in China. Dozens of cities, including Shanghai, with a population of more than 25 million, have been forced to stay locked in their homes for several weeks. In the past, hundreds of such videos have surfaced, in which security officials can be seen taking strict action against people opposing the lockdown.

At the same time, some other reports said that even after some people fell ill in mid-October this year, they were not provided with any treatment, after which the workers started leaving the Foxconn factory. On Sunday (October 30, 2022), 2,675 cases of the corona were recorded in China, which was 802 more than the previous day. Corona testing has been made mandatory for residents of almost all cities, including Beijing. Only after the negative report comes, they can come and go to any public places including restaurants, and markets.
