If we all get stuck in traffic, then we get angry and start cursing the traffic lights because that is why we all have to stop. Have you ever wondered when the world's first traffic lights were made? If not, now today we are going to tell you its history. In fact, the world's first traffic light was installed on the road outside Parliament House in London, England on 10 December 1868. The railway engineer JK Knight had installed the first traffic light, it is said that gas was used to make it visible at night. Yes, at that time, only two colors were used in traffic lights, one was red and the other was green. After that, the yellow color was brought in the traffic lights.

The reason these colors were chosen, is for putting red color in traffic lights was to alert people. From the beginning, the meaning of red color has been 'there is danger ahead'. The red color was chosen to indicate this. We are also aware that red color is darker than other colors, apart from this it can be seen even from far away. For this reason, this color was started to be used to stop the car or passenger at the traffic lights.

About yellow, it is considered a symbol of energy from the beginning. The reason for putting this color in a traffic light was that when there is yellow light, it indicates that you are ready to cross the pavement or move the vehicle or use your energy. About green color, it is called the most beautiful color in the world.

Actually, we see green color from nature. In such a situation, it is said that this color indicates that everything is fine. Due to this, it was brought to traffic lights. So that it can be known that now the vehicle should move to move forward or the pedestrians to cross the road.
