Umar Akmal has been banned from all cricket for three years for failing to give details of corrupt attitudes taken by him in two separate incidents for three years. The 29-year-old has played 16 Tests, 121 ODIs and 84 Twenty20 matches. He was charged by the Pakistan Cricket Board for two violations of his anti-corruption code, which was provisionally suspended before it began in February.

Akmal decided to represent himself at Monday's hearing at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. A PCB spokesman said, he can no longer play cricket at any level.
