Lucknow: Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP) President Om Prakash Rajbhar had earlier supported Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra and talked about joining the yatra, but later he backtracked. On Wednesday (January 4) in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, while talking to the press people, he said that whichever the yatra is, it is taken out to connect with the public.
Rajbhar said that Rahul Gandhi has been working hard for a long time. He is getting people's affection, love, and support. His journey is successful. In Uttar Pradesh also, the opposition has given full support to Rahul Gandhi. Rajbhar told 'Senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid called me and asked me to join the yatra, but our party has decided that it will support the yatra, but will not join.' On the question of alliance with the BJP, Om Prakash said that there are no permanent friends and enemies in politics.
He also said that the BJP is very strong in UP. No party has the power to defeat Narendra Modi. He said that it is difficult to predict who will go with which party. He said, 'Nobody had imagined an alliance between SP and BSP in UP, Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad Yadav in Bihar, and BJP and PDP in Kashmir.' Rajbhar said, 'Congress has been in power in the country for a long time. Why didn't Congress extend love while bearing power? Those who used to vote for Congress earlier, are in BJP today. I do not lie in politics.'
