Lucknow: The 'Bundelkhand Expressway' in Uttar Pradesh has been completed. PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to launch it on July 16. PM Modi will also address a rally along with the inauguration of the Bundelkhand expressway. Built at record time and at a cost less than the estimated cost, the expressway will not only facilitate the people of Bundelkhand to reach the country's capital Delhi but will also speed up industrial development.
With the construction of the Bundelkhand Expressway, it will be easier for the people of Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur and Jalaun to travel to Delhi. More than 250 minor bridges, more than 15 flyovers, 6 toll plazas and more than 12 major bridges and 4 rail bridges have been constructed on this expressway. 24-hour police patrolling and an ambulance facility will also be provided. The length of the Bundelkhand Expressway is 296 km. There is also additional land on both sides of the four-lane Bundelkhand expressway, so that in future, if the movement of vehicles increases, it can be widened to 6 lanes.
Let us know that till now, a distance of about 700 km had to be covered to reach Delhi from Chitrakoot. It took about 12 to 14 hours. After the construction of the Bundelkhand Expressway, this distance will be only 630 kilometres and time will be saved. It is being claimed that with the reduction of the distance of the journey, the journey from Chitrakoot to Delhi via the expressway will be completed in just 7 hours.
