LOS ANGELES:  Will Smith, who slapped comedian Chris Rock earlier this year at the 94th Academy Awards, received a five-star rating from none other than Rihanna for his most recent picture, "Emancipation."

The musician attended a private screening of the actor's movie, "Emancipation," with some of his other famous pals back in October, and the 54-year-old actor expressed her take to it when walking the red carpet for the movie this week, according to "People" magazine.

Smith told E! News, "Rihanna adored the cinematography." She was speechless at how the movie looked and felt. The "Aladdin" star reportedly continued by saying that he also got a decent notion of what his buddies who also attended the screening, including Dave Chappelle, Tyler Perry, A$AP Rocky, and Kenya Barris, thought of the film.

He jokingly told the source, "The thing about Black people is they talk to the television the whole time, so you don't have to ask people's opinion. So I didn't need to ask anyone in the room their opinion. In late October, Smith posted images from the screening to Instagram, including a photo of the A-listers gathered after the film. The image's caption read, "AMAZING night! Thank you for attending #Emancipation. I hope you all had fun." Barris also applauded the movie in the post's comments section, writing, "This night was MAGIC and your movie is definitely something that will last forever!"

"Emancipation," which is set during the American Civil War, depicts a man named Peter (played by Smith) as he flees slavery and embarks on a mission to find freedom from the plantation owners who almost killed him.
