Bangalore: It has been only nine months since Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai took over bagdoor, but once again talks of a change of leadership have started in the state. He was appointed CM in place of former chief minister and veteran Lingayat leader BS Yeddyurappa. It is being told that bommai's removal from the cm post is being considered due to not being able to handle the matter properly from the hijab controversy to the contractor's suicide.
The BJP high command believes that these controversies could affect the BJP's electoral prospects in 2023. Sources in the BJP, however, deny any such dramatic change. Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to Bengaluru today has given further fuel to these speculations. Discussions on the expansion of Bommai's cabinet have been going on for a long time and it may be done soon. A statement by organisation general secretary B L Santhosh, who is considered to be a strong leader in the BJP, has added fuel to these speculations.
General Secretary B L Santosh had said in a statement that the BJP had made major changes in Delhi and Gujarat. This shows that the party high command has the courage to transform the entire leadership at the state level.
