Jaipur: Shekhawati in Rajasthan gets a record cold every year. Fatehpur in Sikar recorded a minimum temperature of 5 degrees, the lowest ever in November during the last 7 years. Fatehpur has been the coldest in the entire state for the third time this season today (Saturday).

According to information received by Fatehpur Agricultural Research Centre, the night temperature has been recorded at 5.5 degrees. Earlier, on October 30, for the first time in nine years, the night temperature has been recorded at five degrees. According to the Center's Weather Report, the season recorded the lowest temperature for the first time in seven years on the night of November 12-13. Earlier in the year 2014, the night temperature was recorded at 5.8 degrees. Chittorgarh was the second coldest place in the state after Fatehpur with a temperature of 8.9 degrees, according to the Met department report.

According to weather experts, the coolness at night is high due to persistent dry weather. According to a weather report by Fatehpur Agricultural Research Centre, the temperature suddenly dropped to 1.9 degrees on Friday after reaching 13 degrees on October 31 and November 1, reaching 5.9 degrees on November 12. According to experts estimates, the temperature may drop further in the coming days.
